I was so shocked and greatly saddened to hear of Miranda's death. She was so young and vibrant. We had just begun a friendship working together on the ITW Debut Authors social media team. She was so generous with her time helping me learn the "ropes". I knew she had health problems and was tremendously busy with her book promotion and PR company she ran, yet she still took the time to chat with me and answer my slew of emails! She will be missed by many.

Miranda had such energy and creativity, it was possible never to know that she was so ill. She will be greatly missed--her laughter and her competence and her vision for the future. She leaves a lasting imprint here for the Debut Authors.

Despite juggling career and family, Miranda didn't hesitate to step forward and volunteer for the Debut Authors Program. I shall miss her generosity and commitment to helping other authors, especially debuts, and can only imagine how much more she would have contributed to this world. She does indeed, as Jenny says, leave a lasting impression, and my deepest sympathies go out to her family and friends.

I'm going to miss Dee (Miranda). Inspite of her illness, she had a resilient spirit. That's one of the things I'm going to miss the most. I'm going to miss her words of encouragement. She gave so freely of herself to others. If there was anything she could do to help, she did.

My heart is broken at this sad news... Miranda was such a great advocate for debuts, and a great friend.

She'll be missed so much.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Miranda's passing. I only had the pleasure of working with her just very recently, but I know what an amazing advocate she was for debuts, and what a talented author she was. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family. She will be greatly missed.

I'm shocked and saddened to hear that Miranda is no longer with us. The world and the writing community has lost a kind, generous, friendly, talented, dedicated, strong person.

Rest in peace, Miranda. We're sorry you've left us so soon, and we miss you already.
